About IHIRC

华东师大沉浸式全息影像创新研究中心成立于2021年12月,旨在顺应新文科发展态势,促进学科建设,进一步创新教学场景和工具,培养具有前沿视野的新时代传媒人才。中心将在教学、科研、培训、实践、节目研发、媒体创新等领域进行实践探索,立足行业产出创新实践成果,预测传媒行业发展趋势;依托最新技术建设更具时代性与实用性的课程体系,培养更符合行业需求的传媒专业人才;努力搭建传媒行业产、学、研多领域、多方位的交流平台,实现资源共享,合作共赢。


East China Normal University Immersive Hologram Innovation Research Center was established in December 2021, aiming to respond to the development trend of new liberal arts, promote discipline construction, further innovate teaching scenarios and tools, and cultivate new-age media talents with cutting-edge vision. The center will conduct practical exploration in the fields of teaching, scientific research, training, practice, program development, media innovation, etc., produce innovative practical results based on the industry and predict the development trend of the media industry; build a more contemporary and practical curriculum system based on the latest technology and cultivate media professionals who better meet the needs of the industry; strive to build a multi-disciplinary and multi-directional communication platform for industry, academia and research in the media industry to achieve We strive to build a multi-field and multi-faceted exchange platform between industry, academia and research in the media industry to achieve a win-win cooperation.



目前研究中心已与多家机器视觉人工智能行业顶尖技术公司进行深度合作,引进当前全球最先进的教育教学设施,并着手组建机器视觉的AI应用落地实验组。初步建成的为The Ring Studio全息影棚及配套设施,已在华东师范大学887700线路检测中心-首页(欢迎您)315落地。该影棚可实现 3D 动态影像实时捕捉、回看甚至流直播,在虚拟世界中最完美的还原真实人物形象。同时中心也与行业领先的人工智能企业达成共识,在传播、表演、教育创新等场景进行应用研究与开发。


At present, the Research Center has cooperated closely with leading companies in both Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence field. The first milestone has been achieved to successfully implemented the most advanced volumetric capturing system in campus. The Ring Studio holographic studio and supporting facilities, which has landed at 315 in the School of Communication of East China Normal University. This the very first 3D capturing system successfully operated in higher education institutes in China. The lab enables to capture real-time 3D videos and stream playbacks. It has realized a pathway between real world and metaverse by projecting “real” imagine to virtual world. In the meantime, IHIRC has signed MOUs with industry leading AI companies to focus on R&D in use-cases study and application development.



中心自建立以来依托该影棚进行了一系列人文与科技等交叉学科的实时全息影像的跨次元的实验和表演的探索,探寻高自由度的沉浸式体验。在未来,研究中心将充分利用国际领先的计算机视觉技术、人工智能以及VR/AR/MR技术,制定与教学、科研匹配的高效3D动态内容制作方案。结合实时互动、通讯、表演、直播等,不断探索虚拟世界和现实世界的交互方式,打破“次元”限制,建立与元宇宙和未来的直接通道,为一流学科建设、教育教学改革和创新人才培养提供强有力的支持。


Since its establishment, the Center has relied on the studio to conduct a series of interdisciplinary experiments and performances of real-time holograms in humanities and technology and other interdisciplinary disciplines to explore high freedom immersive experiences. In the future, the research center will make full use of leading international computer vision technology, artificial intelligence, and VR/AR/MR technology to develop efficient 3D dynamic content production solutions that match teaching and research. Combining real-time interaction, communication, performance, live broadcast, etc., the center will continue to explore the interaction between the virtual world and the real world, break the 'dimensional' limit, establish a direct channel with the metaverse and the future, and provide strong support for the construction of first-class disciplines, education and teaching reform and training of innovative talents.
